BOTOX

What is it?

BOTOX® Cosmetic and Jeuveau are prescription medications that are injected into specific muscles to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.

These medications work by being injected directly into the targeted facial muscles, where they reduce muscle contraction. This relaxation of the muscles leads to a smoother appearance of the skin above the treated areas, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. You will notice a temporary improvement in the look of frown lines between your brows, crow's feet, and forehead lines.

At The Covery, our Registered Nurses and Medical Doctor (on-site) are fully trained and certified by a reputable organization in the field of injectable treatments, ensuring that you receive safe, effective, and professional care.

We are proud to be an official partner with Allergan, a globally recognized leader in aesthetic medicine. As an Allergan partner, we have access to the latest products and technologies, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality care with trusted, FDA-approved injectable treatments like BOTOX® and Jeuveau.

Similarities and Differences: BOTOX® Cosmetic vs. Jeuveau

  • FDA Approved:
BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most well-known injectable and was the first botulinum toxin to receive FDA approval for temporarily improving the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. With over 20 years of published studies on its effectiveness and safety, it remains a trusted option. Jeuveau was FDA-approved in 2019 specifically for cosmetic treatments.

  • Minimal Downtime:
Both BOTOX® Cosmetic and Jeuveau treatments require minimal downtime. You can typically return to your daily routine immediately after leaving the specialist's office.

  • Results with BOTOX®:
With BOTOX® Cosmetic, you may start noticing improvements within 48 hours. Full results are typically visible at 2 weeks

  • Results with Jeuveau:
Jeuveau shows noticeable results within 2-3 days after treatment.

  • Natural-Looking Results:
Both BOTOX® Cosmetic and Jeuveau provide natural-looking outcomes when administered by our licensed and trained RNs and MD at The Covery. You'll look like yourself—just with fewer noticeable lines.

HOW TO PREPARE

  1. Consult with Your Qualified Provider: Schedule a consultation with your licensed and certified provider to discuss the treatment.

  2. Discuss Your Goals and Expectations: Share your aesthetic goals and desired outcomes to ensure the best results.

  3. Review Your Medical History: Discuss any relevant medical history, allergies, health conditions that may impact eligibility, and medications you are currently taking.

  4. Avoid NSAIDS: Refrain from taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) for at least 24 hours prior to treatment as they can increase the risk of bleeding.

  5. Avoid Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from consuming alcohol or smoking at least 24 hours before the procedure.

  6. Avoid Certain Skin Treatments: Skip chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments 1-2 weeks prior to your injection.

  7. Hydrate: Drink plenty of water leading up to your session to ensure optimal results.

  8. Arrive with a Clean Face: Make sure your face is free from makeup or skincare products before the appointment.
